Overview

Dr. Justin Marcus is Associate Professor of Management and Strategy at the College of Administrative Sciences and Economics at Koç University, in Istanbul, Turkey. He received a BA and a BS (in 2005) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and an MS (in 2008) and Ph.D. (in 2010) from the University of Central Florida. In 2011, Dr. Marcus was a founding faculty member of the Department of Psychology at Ozyegin University in Istanbul, Turkey, before leaving to join the Business faculty at Koç University in 2017. His research interests include cross-cultural management and work and aging, with specific focus on demographic intersectionality and cultural values. His work has been published in numerous top scientific journals such as the Journal of World Business, the Journal of Vocational Behavior, the Journal of Organizational Behavior, the Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, and Work, Aging and Retirement and he is an Editorial Board member of Human Resource Management, the Journal of Vocational Behavior, Psychology and Aging, and the Journal of Business and Psychology. As Action Chair of COST Action LeverAge, Dr. Marcus’s vision is to flower and grow the science of work and aging in countries and localities where the science is yet scant, and in a spirit of mutual collaboration and knowledge transfer across all Europe and beyond.
