Science & TechnologyOrganized by Prof. Seda Ertaç and Assoc. Prof. Evrim Didem Güneş, the “Behavioral Experiments Lab” introduced the method of behavioral experiments, explaining their use in understanding people’s preferences, their associations with demographic and other characteristics, and their predictive power over outcomes in a wide range of domains in economics and social sciences.
During the En-ROADS Climate Workshop moderated by Adem Delibaş, a senior modeler at Climate Interactive, we explored the possible effects of various policies and technological innovations for mitigating climate change. Using the En-ROADS Climate Simulator developed by Climate Interactive and the MIT Sustainability Initiative, we evaluated the potential impacts of different climate solutions such as transitioning to electric transportation, carbon pricing, and improving agricultural practices. Additionally, we conducted an interactive workshop on how to create our scenarios for a better climate future.
UNIC Engaged Research Seed Fund
Dr. Ayşen Üstübici, Assistant Professor of Political Science, at the College of Administrative Sciences and Economics received a grant from the “UNIC Engaged Research Seed Fund” for her research project titled “Displacement and Emplacement of the Highly Skilled Migrants Including Refugees in Post-Industrial Cities.”
