Overview
Mustafa Kaba is an applied microeconomist specializing in political economy and behavioral economics. Dr. Kaba earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the European University Institute (EUI) in 2020 and holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering (2014) and an M.A. in Economics (2016) from Boğaziçi University. Prior to joining Koç University Economics Department, he has worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Research in Collective Goods in Bonn and served as a consultant for the World Bank.
Dr. Kaba’s research investigates how beliefs, incentives, and institutional structures influence economic, social, and political behavior, utilizing microeconometric and experimental methods. He has published papers in leading journals, contributing to political economy and behavioral economics literature. He teaches econometrics and political economy courses.
