Overview
Umut Guler is an Assistant Professor of Marketing. His research focuses on empirical industrial organization and quantitative marketing, particularly in retail pricing and distribution channels. He studies the economics of chain retailing and the role of market concentration and consumer heterogeneity in shaping market outcomes. His research also involves applying behavioral insights to empirical demand analyses, exploring phenomena such as retail demand spillovers and consumer reactions to brand acquisitions.
